Iran is mocking Trump and his 'B team' of hawkish aides as the threat of war intensifies
I wish that he'd written these serials as an actual novel though - there's certainly enough of a narrative thread to tie it all together - and I think it would have made for a better, richer read. Jan 24, Jessica Hinckle rated it it was amazing.
Really enjoyed this. Quick read with a lot of sarcastic humor and an interesting story. A tad predictable, and there aren't any truly shocking twists, or Maybe one. But, I enjoyed the main characters and their personalities enough that I'm going to continue reading the series.
Next installment is only 27 pages, so why not? I recommend. Worth the. Overall, an awesome little sci-fi series. Did Not Finish I gave it about 40 minutes and was not into it. I wasn't paying attention and he really overused the word said. The premise sounds interesting and I have been meaning to read Old Man's War so I think I'll start with that and pick this up as a book later. Jan 12, Ron rated it really liked it Shelves: ebook , science-fiction. Vintage--no, classic Scalzi.
Atlanta’s B-Team: The Rumble Bs
Fast-paced, wry humor, seat-of-the pants action. Not great literature, but certainly great fun. I don't see how he can keep the pace or the quantity up, but count me in for the ride. Apr 24, Tessa rated it really liked it Shelves: finishbooks-in This was my second John Scalzi book and he is already becoming one of my "to-watch-out-for" authors. A fast paced sci-fi story that peaked my interest for the other episodes and the Old Man's War-universe. Jan 16, Mike Kass rated it really liked it. Fun little read, brings back memories of Star Trek. Sep 20, Noel rated it it was amazing Shelves: fiction , sci-fi , future , science , space , military-sci-fi.
John scalzi has done it again, though he did it years ago, and I'm just reading it a few weeks ago, and just reviewing now. The original old man is nowhere to be found in this book, but Harry Wilson is, and there's plenty of intrigue and suspense as always. There's Rrae to hate on, there's Earth to be scared for, and a large United Nations like body of alien species, most of which truly feel that earth and its inhabitants should be removed from existence. As always, great stuff! Sep 06, Stephen Ranger rated it really liked it.
I didn't realize this was the first chapter of the full novel before listening to the audiobook; I was assuming it was a side story haha! FYI this is identical to the start of the full novel "The Human Division" and doesn't add anything else. However, still a great start to a story. If you like little episodes, this is cool, but the complete story is available as a single novel, too. Go find that. Mar 19, Samantha rated it liked it Shelves: audio-book , space , reading-list.
I got this as a free book. Sep 09, Karlyn rated it it was amazing.

I enjoyed the series more as I went through each episode. At first I struggled because it seemed like random stories set in this universe. But as it continued and I realized it was interwoven story lines I enjoyed them more. The main characters were enjoyable. It's pretty traditional sci fi fare but still worth the read. He says it better. Worth a look at.
Scalzy is solid. There is a consistence across his books of a nice balance of Humor, Action and Sci-Fi. If we don't expect overly deep and spheric characters, thats a great experience. The B-Team is no exception.
It's a fun space opera novella in Old Man's War universe and was a nice refresher to the series. Oct 26, Adam rated it liked it Shelves: I really enjoyed the short stories in this universe "The End of All Things". And I was excited to jump back in. But this novella doesn't have the intrigue and fun of others, the dialogue isn't as snappy as usual and it's not really funny.
But I plan to keep reading the series, and perhaps I'll find it's just the serialized format throwing me off.
About - The B Team
Spotty There are some extremely exciting moments in The B-Team. The action is flowing and the suspense is hair-pulling. Unfortunately, The B-Team has other moments when there is just a lot of technical talk. Less talk. More action. Oct 29, Robin C. I am enjoying the other side, i. They can be risk takers too.
